For a long time, people have loved sauna and what it can do for them. With more and more people buying sauna kits now companies have stepped up to the plate and made them aesthetically pleasing and reasonably priced. They have even made sauna kits for people who want to save a little money and set up their own. The question is: which variety do you purchase?
One of the first things that you will have to decide is which type of unit you want. Kits come in 2 kinds: modular (or pre-built) and pre-cut. The difference refers to how much work you are willing, and able, to do in order to get your unit set up. With modular units the vast majority of the work is already done for you thus the unit arrives virtually assembled, except for the large pieces like the panels. This takes very little time or labor.
The pre-cut sauna kits are a different story. They actually look like a pile of wood and parts that you have to start from scratch and do everything. Some cutting might even be associated. So unless you are somewhat mechanically inclined you may wish to stay away from this sort.
The next choice to make is whether to go with a conventional or an infrared sauna. The traditional heats up the full room using rocks or coals that are heated by a power source. You can have bursts of hot steam by pouring water on the rocks. The infrared models use ceramic emitters to warm up the area around the body and your body. This heat actually penetrates several inches into the body to calm muscles. But, the heat isn't as hot temperature wise in an infrared unit as in a conventional sauna.
you will also have to determine which size unit you will need. This is based on many different factors like how much room you've, the number of people using it and your budget. Obviously, the larger the unit the more it will cost so if you've a budget in mind this selection may already be made for you.
Sauna kits are sized by the number of people that can comfortably fit inside. Most home sauna units are typically a 2 or 3 person model. However you can buy them up to ten or twelve people if you require one that large. You also have to think about where it'll be set up. Once you've these questions answered, you can go shopping.
